Let us take an example: The medical bill is $25,000; Deductible is $100 and choosen Policy Maximum is $50,000.
- Insurance coverage is $50,000
- Deductible is $250 per certificate period
- Coinsurance : The plan pays 100%
- Total medical expenses is $25,000
The Intermedical Insurance plan covers set amount up to a maximum of $50,000.
The insured must pay the deductible ($100). After that, the insurance company pays fixed amount as defined in the policy for specific treatment. In hypothetical case, the insured has to pay the difference between the amount insurance pays and the actual billed amount.
