How the Pet Care Upgrade Works?
Coverage applies differently depending on whether your pet is traveling with you or waiting at home:
If your pet is traveling with you: Up to $2,500 in reimbursement for eligible emergency veterinary expenses if your cat or dog becomes sick or injured during the trip. The condition must be one that first occurs or is diagnosed during the trip - pre-existing pet conditions are not eligible.
If your pet stays home in a boarding kennel: Up to $250 for necessary extra boarding fees at a licensed commercial kennel, for up to three days beyond your original return date, if your trip is delayed for a covered reason (such as a natural disaster or hospitalization).
