Students aged 74 years (once you hit age 75 you are no longer eligible) and below at the time of application are eligible. Eligible applicants include U.S. citizens and permanent residents living abroad, as well as legal U.S. residents (both citizens and foreign nationals). They must reside outside their home country for at least 3 months in a year

  • International Students living in the U.S.
  • International Faculty and Research Scholars in the U.S.
  • Optional Practical Training (OPT) Participants living in the U.S.
  • U.S. Students and Faculty, planning on studying outside of the U.S., applying from either the U.S. or from outside of the U.S.
  • The waiting period for pre-existing conditions can be waived with proof of prior creditable coverage.
  • The plan does not cover individuals participating in online courses or ESL (language courses).
