One of the unique features of Hop! Travel Assist is the guaranteed cashless claims process. This means that if a member uses Hop! assistance services,they don't have to worry about paying out of pocket for medical expenses. Instead, Hop! takes care of everything for them, making it incredibly easy and stress-free to use the program.

Note: Hop! requires members to contact Hop Assist within certain times to access benefits. Non-Life-Threatening Medical Assistance requires notification within 7 days of first symptom.

Life-threatening Medical Assistance need to be reported within 48 hours of first symptom. Travel Assistance requires notification within 24 hours of the incident.

There are 6 types of plans in Hop! Travel Assist. We have 5 comprehensive plans Hop Classico, Hop Ultra, Hop Ultra Plus, Hop VIP and Hop VIP plus.

There is also one fixed plan HOP Mindoro travel Assist. There is a minimum purchase of 30 days required to buy these INF HOP plans.

The cost of the plan depends on the age of the traveler, the type of coverage and the length of your trip. Typically, visitor’s insurance policies cost can start even as low as $1 per day, but will be much higher for older travelers seeking coverage for pre-existing conditions that INF visitor insurance offers.

The INF Hop! Mindoro Travel Assistance Plan covers Covid19 related expenses such as testing, treatment, quarantine, etc., up to the total maximum for all accident and sickness medical expenses and the medical access expense chosen. The plan offers three options for coverage:

  • Option A: $25K total maximum for all accident and sickness medical expenses with a $0, $100, $250, $500, $1K, $2,500 or $5Kmedical access expense.
  • Option B: $50K total maximum for all accident and sickness medical expenses with a $0, $100, $250, $500, $1K, $2,500 or $5K medical access expense.
  • Option C: $75K total maximum for all accident and sickness medical expenses with a $0, $100, $250, $500, $1K, $2,500 or $5K medical access expense
08. Does the INF Hop! Mindoro Travel Assistance Plan cover Covid19?

The INF Hop! Mindoro Travel Assistance Plan covers Covid19 like any other new sickness, only if the virus was contracted after the policy effective date. The plan also covers pre-existing conditions (out-patient and emergency) as defined in the plan, as per policy limitations, exclusions and maximums, with no benefit waiting period.

09. Who is eligible for the INF Hop! Mindoro Travel Assistance Plan?

Any non-US citizen can apply for the INF Hop! Mindoro Travel Assistance Plan. This includes green card holders, H-1B visa holders, permanent residents, students on F1 / F1 visas, those on OTP, and those whose immigration status is not confirmed. This plan works for all age groups, from age 0 to age 99. The plan requires a minimum purchase of 30 days and a maximum period of membership of 364 days.

  • Restrictions and Reminders:
    • If you are at an urgent care and have anything serious such as a chest pain, we will allow for two follow up with a specialist only if the condition is not stabilized.
    • All appointments need to go through Robin Assist. The Nurse Triage will determine where you need to be sent. This is for non-emergent situations.
    • This is a convenience for the member- they don’t need to worry about finding an in-network provider or finding a provider that accepts the coverage
    • Blood tests are covered as long as it is within the urgent care visit, however if the urgent care clinic visit stabilized you, and you go for additional blood work it will not be covered.
    • These plans are only designed to stabilize the client, it is not a full on comprehensive plan
    • The Medical Access Expense is a non-refundable deposit that members must pay to access medical assistance, based on the membership level they have selected. This deposit is essential for members to receive the appropriate level of medical care and support that they need
  • Extensions:

    • You will be allowed to extend the plan if they have a claim.
    • If extension is at least 60 days it will be more cost-effective.
    • If there is a lapse in coverage it will not trigger the waiting period.

    Hop! Assist: How to handle claims:
    • HOP! Plans use United Health Care, and members can find providers near them by clicking on the given link and searching by their zip code. This also explains how to access guaranteed cashless claims through Robin Assist.
    • When a member becomes symptomatic, they can message the Robin Assist team through WhatsApp, phone, or email, and they will be put in touch with a nurse practitioner who can provide immediate consultation over the phone. If it is a life-threatening emergency, the member will be directed to the nearest hospital, and Robin Assist will contact the hospital and provide their eligibility and coverage details on behalf of the member

    Non-life threatening conditions caused by pre-existing conditions:
    • Covered if the symptoms are acute for example:
      1. Chest pain requires some doctor consultation at urgent care due to high BP
      2. Sugar levels are low causing fatigue due to diabetic condition, requiring urgent care visit
    • What is not covered?:
      1. Planned surgeries which are NOT life and death fr example- heart surgery or gallbladder stone removal
      2. In this situation- if not ER we will offer to pay for flight rebooking back home
    • On-going treatment and routine appoints not covered
    Life threatening conditions caused by pre-existing conditions:
    • Must be reported within 48 hour
    • Covered for all procedures / treatments until the patient is stabilized:
      1. Stabilized means the patient is able to leave the hospital
      2. Plan is designed to cover 1-2 maximum specialist visits after stabilization for emergencies
      3. Follow up appointments on an ongoing basis are not covered
