The coronavirus testing would be covered if a medical physician deems it necessary that the insured fits the criteria for the test and the insured is effective on the policy during the time of the testing. The medical expenses would be covered as well during the time of the policy and if the signs and symptoms started during the effective date of the policy and will be paid per the parameters of the policy.
The plan pays 80% up to $5,000 of eligible costs, then 100% to the medical maximum. Additional $250 deductible for each emergency room visit as a result of an Illness is available. The emergency room deductible will be waived if hospital admittance is within 12 hours of the incident.
The Traveler can purchase an optional rider at the time of application. The optional riders provide additional coverage for a minimal charge.
"The plan is not renewable”, if additional coverage time is needed, a new application must be completed.
Global Underwriters will provide a refund of your plan cost, less a $25 processing fee, will be considered only if written request is received by Global Underwriters prior to the effective date of coverage. After that date, the premium is considered fully earned and non-refundable. Partial refunds are not available.
