1. How do you define dependents?
Can grandparents traveling with their grandkids put the kids down as dependents (since they are at least legal guardians)? or
Can grandparents list grandkids as their "dependents" on a policy (assuming they are NOT traveling with the parents)?
Can step children, adopted children, and/or foster children be placed on a policy as dependents if at least one of the insured is a legal guardian? Do both have to be legal guardians? Does this extend to nieces, nephews and other relations that may be traveling with an adult?

Only biological children or legally adopted or foster children under the age of 18 can be considered dependents. Grandparents nor nieces or nephews can be added as dependents on our policies.

2. Can same-sex partners purchase a policy if they could put themselves down as "spouse" whether legally married or not as the application forms assume one male and one female?

Only legally married individuals can apply together and spouses on an application.

3. Can people who live together (maybe man and woman) who are legal domestic partners but not married sign up for a policy together or should they get separate policies?

Domestic partners / Same sex couples could apply together if they are legally married. 3. It is fine for a couple applying together but having different nationalities. In a family, a Father, Mother and Dependent can all have different citizenships and apply on the same application.
