StudentSecure Select Insurance
WorldTrip StudentSecure Select insurance is J-1 and F-1 visa-compliant international student health insurance with a $0 deductible and a $1,000,000 policy maximum - built for full-time students and scholars studying outside their home country.
What Is StudentSecure Select Health Insurance?
StudentSecure Select is WorldTrips' mid-tier international student health insurance plan, offering the second-highest coverage limits among the four StudentSecure plans. It's built specifically for international students and scholars studying outside their home country, and it meets J-1 visa insurance requirements.
The plan includes a $0 deductible, savings for paying the full premium in advance, and pre-existing condition coverage after the policy has been active for 6 months. It also covers acute onset of a pre-existing condition and some intercollegiate, interscholastic, intramural, or club sports injuries - benefits that the lower-tier Budget and Smart plans don't include.
After buying the plan, Students can get the StudentSecure Select id card and all the plan documents by using Student Secure Select login porter. At American Visitor Insurance, International students can contact the StudentSecure Select customer service to get help on the plan details, quotes and other queries. Our licensed agents will be glad to assist you!
Who Is StudentSecure Select Best Suited For?
Students who need a visa- and school-compliant plan with a $0 deductible and mid-to-high coverage limits.
Select includes up to $10,000 for a covered pregnancy and $750 for newborn nursery care - benefits Smart doesn't offer.
Up to $5,000 per injury/illness for intercollegiate, interscholastic, intramural, or club sports.
Full-time scholars performing at least 30 hours/week of research also qualify.
Students who need the absolute lowest premium (consider StudentSecure Budget or StudentSecure Smart), or students whose university mandates a $5,000,000 maximum or vaccination/preventive-care coverage (consider StudentSecure Elite instead).
What Students Actually Need to Check First?

How Do I File a Claim With StudentSecure Select Insurance?
To file a claim with StudentSecure Select Insurance, follow these steps:
How Does StudentSecure Select Insurance Work?
Your policy covers sudden illness, accidental injury, and acute onset of pre-existing conditions. Routine checkups and elective procedures are excluded. For major events, call WorldTrips' 24/7 travel assistance line first.
Show your StudentSecure ID card at a UnitedHealthcare PPO provider to minimize out-of-pocket costs. Out-of-network providers are allowed, but you may need to pay upfront and file for reimbursement.
With a $0 deductible, in-network care is paid at 80% of the next $25,000 of eligible expenses (after applicable copayments), then 100% to the overall maximum. Outside the U.S., eligible expenses are paid at 100% after copayments, up to the maximum.
Download the claims form, complete it, and submit it with supporting documents to the Claims Department, or call 1-800-628-4664 for guidance. Email [email protected] for assistance.
WorldTrips processes claims and pays covered amounts once documentation is received. Your policy stays active until it expires or your $500,000 per-injury/$1,000,000 overall maximum is reached.
