StudentSecure Budget covers for $250,00 per injury or illness with a deductible of $45 within PPO or student health center, otherwise $90 per injury or illness.
This plan meets J-1 visa requirements, covers pre-existing condition coverage after policy is in effect for 12 months and some intercollegiate, interscholastic, intramural, or club sports coverage.
Full time students and research scholars registered for universities outside their home country can buy this insurance.
This plan can be renewed online up to 4 years.
Full refund if the policy is cancelled before the policy start date. If the policy is after the policy start date after deducting the cancellation charges refund of premium for unused months will be paid.

Coinsurance inside the US- Underwriters will pay 80% of the next $25,000 of eligible expenses after deductible, then 100% to certificate period maximum

This policy covers for evacuation, repatriation, emergency reunion, terrorism, intercollegiate or club sports.
It also covers for mental health disorders, dental cover, physical therapy & chiropractic care.
Comprehensive plan provides exhaustive coverage when compared to fixed or scheduled benefit plans. The plan pays for all expenses after the deductible and co-insurance component. The plan is recommended given the high costs of health care arouond the world. The plan is worth every penny of premium paid in the event of catastrophic medical emergencies.
These plans do not have benefit limits based on the type of medical expense.

StudentSecure Budget insurance eligibility
Individuals up to the age of 65 years.
Individuals must be a full time student at a college or university, excluding online colleges and universities, or within 31 days of being a Full-time Student at a college or university; or must be a Full-time Scholar affiliated with an educational institution and performing work or research for at least 30 hours per week.
The Full-time Student/Scholar status requirement is waived for Participants within the US holding a valid F-1 visa including those students on OPT or a J-1 visa. Full-time status requirements remain in force for individuals holding M-1, or other category visas
Must be residing outside his or her Home Country for the purpose of pursuing international educational activities
Must not have obtained residency status in the Host Country.
Participants in the U.S. must hold a valid education related Visa. A copy of the I-20 or DS2019 may be requested.
In ppo network: Plan pays 80% of the next $25,000 of eligible expenses after the deductible, then 100% to the overall maximum limit.
Out of ppo network: Usual, reasonable, and customary. You may be responsible for any charges exceeding the payable amount.
Outside the United States
After the deductible, plan pays 100% of eligible expenses to the certificate period maximum.

StudentSecure is not available to individuals who are physically located in the states of New York, Maryland, or Washington or in the country of Canada or Australia at time of purchase.
