questionHello,
I need long stay Europe visa insurance for 1 year plus 2 months . Do I buy a 2 month policy and a one year policy or do you offer a policy longer than 1 year?
Thanks,
Jim

questionDear Jim,
You can only purchase Long term Europe Visa Insurance for one year at a time and you cannot buy it too far in advance either. You should be able to buy the insurance you need for your visa for one year and then extend it (near the end of the year) for your additional 2 months or as long as you need it (up to another year). I'm pretty sure that consulates are OK with this because that's just the way all insurance policies work. Get Quote

Let us know if we can assist you any further and good luck with the visa process!

questionHello,
I am interested in the Patriot International plan. I want to know if I can buy that plan for visiting outside the US. I will be attending visa interview in the Greek consulate and will stay there for a year. If for some reason I get rejected, I will have to change the destination as Germany on the same plan. Can I do that?
Does the policy show the list of countries covered? Can the dates on the policy be changed?
Thanks,
Amani

questionDear Amani,
Thank you for contacting us at American Visitor Insurance for your travel health insurance for US citizens visiting Greece and Germany needs! To answer your questions, you can change the destination on the plans. Make sure that the visa letter is available for them. You can put both destinations on the policy. Dates on the policy can be changed before the policy takes effect, otherwise it cannot be changed. The list of countries that are covered will not be listed on the policy. The policy says coverage is available outside the home country. Only restricted countries will be specified in the plan details page on the company website. Here are the links for the policy we spoke about over the phone:

questionHello again,
Once again, my wife and I will be traveling and we want to purchase travel insurance but do not know which plan would be best for our circumstances.
I am an American living in Brazil along with my Brazilian wife. We will begin traveling to China (Beijing and Qingdao is what we have planned) as well as Seoul, Korea.
Our flights will take us from Sao Paulo (leaving Aug 27 at 8:50pm) through Dallas/Ft. Worth (arriving Aug 28 at 5:20am) to Seoul (arriving Aug 29 at 3:15pm). We spend a night in Seoul before flying to Beijing (Aug 30).
We will be in China from Aug 30 to Sept 8. Then we fly from Qingdao back to Seoul. From Sept 8 to 17, we will be in Seoul. On Sept 17, we fly from Seoul through Dallas/Ft. Worth (arriving Sept 17 at 4:00pm), leaving later that day for our flight to Sao Paulo.
My questions are - which type(s) of insurance would be best for me and my wife, considering that I am an American living in Brazil with my Brazilian wife, and not only are we traveling to China and Seoul, but we will be flying through the United States (even though that is not our destination). And what days should I plan on getting coverage for, considering that our flights to and from Brazil leave in the evening and arrive the following day.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Thanks,
Scott

questionHi,
I need insurance to travel to Europe from US.. I am a Green Card holder. Can you please suggest a plan that is suitable for me?
Thanks,
Sadhna

questionDear Sadhna,
Thank you for contacting us for your insurance needs. The Patriot insurance plan offered by IMG is specifically designed for short term visitors outside the USA and is a hugely popular choice among tourists. The plan meets Schengen or Europe Long Term visa requirements as long as you choose a $50,000 maximum (at least) with a $0 deductible (some countries require a $0 deductible). Immediately after purchase, you will receive a confirmation email containing links to ID cards and a "visa letter". The visa letter is what the consulate needs to see for visa purposes. They are considered official documents even though you print them out yourself. You can get all details about Patriot insurance at :

questionHello,
I am a US citizen currently in Thailand. I have no insurance with any country. I will be going to the Netherlands soon and would like to have affordable coverage. I' m 44 years old and make a little less than $2,000 working online. I'd like to know how much I'd need to pay for at least 30,000 Euro coverage.
Thanks,
Joshua

questionDear Joshua,
Thank you for contacting us at American Visitor Insurance for your US visitor health insurance needs!
This policy is very popular and very affordable with international travelers and also has many excellent features. In particular, their coverage of "acute onset" of pre-existing conditions up to the maximum of the plan for medical expenses and an additional $25,000 for emergency medical evacuation can put your mind at ease.

questionHi,
Hi my name is William Jones and I just bought a travel insurance policy with your company for my trip to New Zealand. I just had a quick question, if something were to happen to me on my travels, what information will I need in order to take care of any potential costs that may incur in case of injury?
Thanks,
Billy

questionDear Billy,
Hi! All you need is the information found on the ID card which should be attached or links to the confirmation email you received after you made your purchase. If you can't print it out for some reason, you will need the following information: Your certificate number and the phone number for the insurance company. If you need to call them from overseas, use the direct number (not the toll free number) and call collect; they will accept your call anytime as well as any doctor/hospital you use.
I hope this has answered your question. Have a safe and happy trip!
Please have a look and let us know if we can help you in any further.

questionHi,
I'm a US citizen, I will be travelling to Asia, I need basic coverage for emergency medical evacuation. Please can you guide through the insurance quotes analysis.
Thanks,
Bruce

questionDear Bruce,
Please use our compare travel insurance quote form for US citizens. You need to answer a couple of questions as follows:
Select “Excluding USA” as your destination since you are travelling to Asia. The plans offered here will be cheaper than the ones offered under “Including USA”.
Citizenship as “US citizen”
“Travel Insurance” as the type of insurance
“No” for Schengen visa letter as you are travelling to Asia
If you need coverage for pre-existing conditions you select “yes” else “no”
“$25,000 - $50,000” as your maximum coverage
Enter your age, spouse and children age(if they are travelling) and the travelling dates.
Click on “Get quotes”
This will take you to a page which will display a list satisfying your criteria.
If you are confused among different insurance policies, you can select them (by clicking on the check box) and compare among them.
After comparing you can select a plan and click on buy now.
I would recommend a comprehensive plan like Patriot International for your trip.

questionHi,
I am looking for a new insurance plan starting on the New Year, and I am interested in your insurance plans. A little background about me: I am currently traveling around Vietnam and Asia, and will be doing so for the next two months. Then, I am going to Germany for another two months. Can I buy health insurance even though I am already overseas? And do you recommend I buy an annual plan, or do you have a shorter, 6 month plan?
Thanks,
Thomas

questionDear Thomas,

questionHi,
I'm an Indian residing in US and visiting Spain for 3 months on business work. Please suggest a suitable insurance plan for my entire period of stay in Spain.
Thanks,
Arun

questionDear Arun,
Being an Indian residing in US you need to provide the proof of resident status in the US which can be either a Green card, a valid US visa, a copy of valid I-20 or valid I-AP66, visas to apply for a Schengen/short stay visa. The visas or the US resident status must be valid for at least 3 months after the last day of stay in the Schengen area. As required by the Schengen consulate, you are required to buy a travel health insurance plan that satisfies the visa requirements.
We have two insurance plans that satisfy the visa requirements as per the consular needs namely Atlas International or the Patriot International Insurance plans.
