It has the $2,000 "lodging" (called trip delay which includes quarantine) benefit and covers medical expenses due to COVID-19 up to $250,000 (well over their requirement). This is a trip cancellation policy, so you can insure the non-reimbursable portion of your trip if you choose to.

We recommend, in these unprecedented times, to add the "Cancel For Any Reason" rider to your plan so that if your trip is cancelled due to border closures, you can recuperate 75% of your expenses for a new trip in the future.

If you do not use this rider, then you will only be reimbursed for set reasons usual for trip cancellation policies (sickness of you or travel companion, termination of employment,level 4 travel advisory of your destination country, theft of passport, mandatory evacuation, etc - see brochure for all conditions).

You should purchase your trip soon after you make your initial trip deposit (within 10 days) and you will get a visa letter which states you have coverage to meet all the requirements for Costa Rica immediately after purchase.

You can only purchase Long term Europe Visa Insurance for one year at a time and you cannot buy it too far in advance either. You should be able to buy the insurance you need for your visa for one year and then extend it (near the end of the year) for your additional 2 months or as long as you need it (up to another year). I'm pretty sure that consulates are OK with this because that's just the way all insurance policies work.

Hi! All you need is the information found on the ID card which should be attached or links to the confirmation email you received after you made your purchase. If you can't print it out for some reason, you will need the following information: Your certificate number and the phone number for the insurance company.!

Being an Indian residing in US you need to provide the proof of resident status in the US which can be either a Green card, a valid US visa, a copy of valid I-20 or valid I-AP66, visas to apply for a Schengen/short stay visa. The visas or the US resident status must be valid for at least 3 months after the last day of stay in the Schengen area.
