The Tourism Authority of Thailand has announced that the Special Tourist Visa (STV) for all international travelers. This is available to tourists, corporate travelers, and business travelers. The STV allows for an initial 90-day stay in Thailand, which can be further extended twice each time for a further 90 days giving the traveler a maximum 270 days stay in the kingdom.
The visa fee for the STV is THB2,000 with an additional THB 2,000 per extension. While applying for the STV, the applicant should have Thailand travel insurance with 10,000 USD coverage for the entire duration of stay in Thailand.
