International Medical Group (IMG) offers the Student Health Advantage plans which provides comprehensive international student medical insurance to students and scholars pursuing their education outside their home country. There are two plan options available: standard and platinum plan. Student Health Advantage covers mental health, organized sports and pre-existing conditions. If there is no break in coverage, the plan may be renewed for up to five years.

Refund of full premium if the policy is cancelled before the effective date. If the cancellation request is received after the policy start date, you will get refund for unused months after deducting the cancellation charges.
Limited dental coverage for emergency dental pain relief and injury due to accident.
Comprehensive plan provides exhaustive coverage when compared to fixed or scheduled benefit plans. The plan pays for all expenses after the deductible and co-insurance component. The plan is recommended given the high costs of health care arouond the world. The plan is worth every penny of premium paid in the event of catastrophic medical emergencies.
These plans do not have benefit limits based on the type of medical expense.

Abseiling, BMX, bobsleigh, bungee jumping, canyoning, caving, hang gliding, heli-skiing, high diving, horseback riding, hot air ballooning, inline skating, jet skiing, jungle zip lining, kayaking, mountain biking, paragliding, parascending, piloting a non-commerical aircraft, rappelling, rock climbing or mountaineering (ropes and guides to 4500m from ground level), scuba diving (to 50m), skydiving, snow boarding, snowmobiling, snow skiing, spelunking, surfing, trekking, whitewater rafting (to Class V), and wildlife safaris. These adventure activities must be engaged in solely for leisure, recreation, or entertainment purposes.

be an active Participant, Spouse of the Participant, or Children
traveling with the Participant and residing outside his/her primary Country of Residence for a temporary period of time, and if Destination Country is the United States, Insured Person must hold one of the following visa types:F1/F2, J1/J2, M1/M2 or A1/A2
Be at least 31 days old but not yet 65 year old.
Be physically and legally residing in the destination country with the intent to reside there for at least 30 days on the effective date and at renewal.
Not be hospitalized, disabled, pregnant or HIV+ on the initial effective date.

How long can I renew Student Health Advantage?
Student Health Advantage can be renewed monthly for up to 12 months and it can be renewed for maximum of 60 months.
