Outreach Group Travel Medical Insurance is a temporary medical insurance plan that provides coverage for groups of five or more missionaries who need medical insurance while traveling outside their home country. The plan is available only for groups traveling outside of the U.S. and provides the same coverage as Outreach International Insurance, but is 10% cheaper. The plan provides coverage for missionaries up to age 79, and the benefit amount is $100k for travelers between 70-79 years.

IMG Outreach medical insurance - Common Questions

Outreach Group Medical Insurance provides short term medical insurance coverage for groups of five or more missionaries who need medical insurance while traveling for business or outside their home country. The plan provides coverage for missionaries up to age 79, and the benefit amount is $50k, $100k, $500k, $1M or $2M for individuals and $100k, $250k or $1M for groups. The plan covers eligible medical expenses up to the maximum limit and also includes coverage for COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2 subject to all other terms and conditions of this insurance. The plan also covers emergency hospital admission and direct transfer from emergency medical evacuation (group plans only). The benefit period is three months and if a covered injury or illness requires continuing treatment after the period of coverage expires, the three-month benefit period may offer continued coverage for that injury or illness.

The plan is available only for groups traveling outside of the U.S. and provides the same coverage as Outreach International Insurance, but is 10% cheaper. The plan provides coverage for missionaries up to age 79.

Pre-existing conditions are not covered under Outreach Group Travel Medical Insurance. However, some insurance companies offer limited coverage for medical expenses arising due to pre-existing conditions when the situation is life-threatening in nature (between $1k and up to 10% of Accident & Sickness Sum Insured). This coverage is only available till the insured traveler can be made medically stable.

Outreach Group Travel Medical Insurance offers an optional Evacuation Plus Rider that provides coverage for medical evacuations for sudden and unexpected medical conditions that are non-life-threatening and where hospitalization is medically necessary. It also offers coverage for evacuations as a result of a natural disaster. This optional rider is available to insured’s up to age 65.

Outreach Group Travel Insurance can be renewed for a total of up to two years if the plan is purchased for a minimum of five days and there is no break in coverage. Renewals are available in whole month or daily increments and may be completed online or by using a paper application. However, renewals of less than one month are only available online.
