The United States is reopening its borders for international travelers post the Covid19 pandemic. The Biden administration has announced that starting November 2021 international travelers will be allowed by air to the US however they will have to be fully vaccinated for Covid19 as well as show proof of a negative for Covid19 test taken 72 hours prior to boarding the US flight. According to the United States Center for Disease Control (CDC), the US will accept vaccines that are approved for emergency use by the World Health Organisation.

01.  Am I required to quarantine after domestic travel?

The requirements for travel are quite fluid because of the rapidly changing situation with the covid19 pandemic and its many new variants most notably the Delta variant. However as of now, while the CDC recommends everyone to get vaccinated, it does not require travellers to undergo quarantine after domestic travel. The CDC however does recommend that unvaccinated travelers self quarantine after travel for 7 days with a negative test and for 10 days if they do not get test for Covid19.

02.  Is Covid19 vaccine covered under the health insurance plans in the US?

WGetting a Covid 19 vaccine is strongly encouraged in the US. Many US domestic health insurance providers offer Covid19 vaccine coverage. A travel insurance cover is however not a replacement of the health insurance will not provide coverage for Covid19 vaccine.

03.  I am traveling from one state to another in the US to meet family and friends, can I get Covid19 covered?
