Patriot America Insurance, Comprehensive US visitors medical insurance
Patriot America offers comprehensive short term medical insurance coverage to international travelers traveling outside their residence country whose destination includes the United States or its territories. It is popular among visitors to US and is offered by a top rated insurance provider with a AM best rating of “A” (excellent). Patriot America visitors insurance can be purchased from 5 days to 364 days which can be further renewed up to 2 years.US citizens living abroad and visiting USA can also buy Patriot America Insurance.
Plan can be renewed up to two years, if plan is purchased for a minimum of 1 month.
Refund of full premium if the policy is cancelled before the effective date. If the cancellation request is received after the policy start date, you will get refund for unused months after deducting the cancellation charges.
Discounts on pharmacy for certificate holders of patriot plans through participating pharmacies in the US.

Coinsurance outside US & Canada - No coinsurance.
Coinsurance inside US & Canada - Within PPO network, plan pays 90% of eligible expenses up to $5,000, then 100% up to Max limit. Outside PPO network, plan pays 80% of eligible expenses up to $5,000, then 100% up to Max limit.
US expats looking to visit the US can buy Patriot travel insurance. They must have resided outside US continuously for the past 6 months and must have a current health plan in force.
Comprehensive plan provides exhaustive coverage when compared to fixed or scheduled benefit plans. The plan pays for all expenses after the deductible and co-insurance component. The plan is recommended given the high costs of health care arouond the world. The plan is worth every penny of premium paid in the event of catastrophic medical emergencies.
These plans do not have benefit limits based on the type of medical expense.

Activities Covered up to certificate period:
Abseiling, BMX, bobsleigh, bungee jumping, canyoning, caving, hang gliding, heli-skiing, high diving, horseback riding, hot air ballooning, inline skating, jet skiing, jungle zip lining, kayaking, mountain biking, paragliding, parascending, piloting a non-commerical aircraft, rappelling, rock climbing or mountaineering (ropes and guides to 4500m from ground level), scuba diving (to 50m), skydiving, snow boarding, snowmobiling, snow skiing, spelunking, surfing, trekking, whitewater rafting (to Class V), and wildlife safaris. These adventure activities must be engaged in solely for leisure, recreation, or entertainment purposes.
Groups may purchase the Chaperone/Faculty Leader Replacement Rider in the event that an insured person who is designated as a Chaperone/Faculty Leader by the sponsoring organization has an unexpected death of a relative, a medical emergency, or the substantial destruction of the principal residence in his/her home country, which causes the insured person to have to cancel or interrupt travel, this plan covers reimbursement up to $3,000 for the expense of a round trip economy airline ticket for a replacement Chaperone/Faculty Leader. (avaliable on group plans)
This optional coverage is available for the primary insured person only. This coverage is in addition to the Accidental Death and Dismemberment already included in the plans. Coverage must be purchased for a minimum of three months.
Available to insureds up to age 65. It provides coverage for medical evacuations for sudden and unexpected medical conditions that are non life-threatening, and where hospitalization is medically necessary. It also provides coverage for evacuations as a result of a natural disaster. This rider must be purchased for a minimum purchase of 3 months regardless of the minimum number of days being traveled.

Renewability - Patriot America insurance renewal
Patriot America insurance can be extended for a minimum of 5 days up to a 12 months period, until reaching a maximum of 24 continuous months.
Prior to the end of each period of coverage purchased, you will receive renewal information.
You have the option to renew online or you may complete a paper renewal form.
Each insured person must only satisfy one deductible and coinsurance within each 12 month period of coverage.
